Take A Closer Look

The budget will be out tonight and there will be a lot of conversation of how money is being spent. There is one area that I think should be looked at a little closer. How much does the Sheriff spend on the upkeep of cars? Where does that money get spent? Where is the only real car dealership in business downtown? Who is listed as the official treasurer of the Sheriff's campaign?

The amount spent will be in the budget tonight, the other questions all have the same answer, Payton Wells.

Something smells a little fishy there. Payton Wells helps bring in money for the Sheriff's campaign to be Sheriff, the Sheriff throws hundreds of thousands of dollars towards the car dealership.

I am sorry, but Frank Anderson, and his $360,000 salary are about as dirty as you get.

The guy talks tough on crime for one day during his 3 years and office and everyone seems to forget his wrongs.

The next time you see the Sheriff, ask him how many bids he accepted before awarding Payton Wells the contract to take care of the MCSD vehicles!

There was another murder tonight. An 18-year old black male was killed on the northside. Here we go again.

Corruption in the Sheriff's office and a huge increase in crime. It is like New Orleans right here in our city.

I believe it is spelled Payton, and not Peyton.

Is anyone alive over there at Marion Co. GOP headquarters? Explain to me why nobody has been all over Peterson, Anderson, Drummer, Carson et al for allowing a bar to go into the Julia Carson Government Center and tearing down the only park in the neighborhood for small children? If you people can't see the value in pursuing this issue, then you better all hang up your jockstraps and let someone else do the job.

Good Deal Frank. Keep wasting the taxpayers money to keep the rich. You are a one term Sheriff

"One term Sheriff"? Really? The Sheriff won in 2002 with 67 percent of the vote. Do you think that anyone outside of the Republican party rank and file can even name his oposition this year? I would be willling to bet that he wins this year with an even larger percentage.

Frank just wants to help his buddies out. I mean, how can one live on less than 1/4 mil a year?
With the gas prices alone, poor Mr Wells needs to business. Oh wait, he's giving the taxpayers the business.

It would appear the Marion County GOP is asleep at the switch. The past month has seen many blunders by the city leaders. Where is the GOP to challange? Davis should demand that he and Anderson have at least two debates.

Yes, Steve Davis can and will beat Frank Anderson. Frank had f**ked up the county law enforcement so bad, it may never get fixed. If you watch close when Frank talks, Barts mouth moves. The only reason he won is because Tom Schnieder went personally negative. As long as Davis sticks to the issues, he will win. All Frank wants is whatever Bart and Julia tell him to want. He didn't want consolidation until Bart told him to want it. He's a puppet, just like the rest of the Dems. on the CCC.
