The Consequences of Inexperience

I would like to offer into evidence, Exhibit A. This is an article showing the direct effect of someone inexperience and unqualified taking a job.

The Marion County Coroner apparently thinks it is OK to take money from dead people and then allow your staff to cover it up.

From the Indy Star:

The Marion County coroner's office is being investigated by the prosecutor's office after more than $3,000 was stolen from a body, revealing lapses in computer and storage security.

A police detective's investigation found a lack of computer security that allowed nearly three-dozen employees to alter property receipts without detection, according to a confidential police memo obtained by The Indianapolis Star. That lapse has raised concerns that evidence could be corrupted.

The memo, dated Feb. 9, also reported that several thousand dollars worth of county equipment was missing and concluded that the coroner's office, "at least on the administrative level, is incompetent and careless."

Last week, Coroner Kenneth Ackles said the theft of cash from a dead man was an isolated incident. He acknowledged the theft had to have been committed internally by someone with access to a shared evidence locker and the computer system.

"It was an unfortunate thing, but that's the only thing," Ackles said. "If you look at the amount of money and property that goes through the office, and there's only one incident, I think that's a pretty good record."

So, one person stealing in the office is OK??? Did Ackles ever do anything???

Another crazy item from this story is that there are 20 Deputy Coroners. Do we need 20? Are any of them capable of doing an autopsy?

This is great. Republicans lose to a fake doctor.

Every time Ackles messes up it is just a slam on R's for running crappy campaigns!

I don't think other DC's would agree on being called "fake doctors" but I get the jist of your comment.

Though the reason Ackles got in was because the GOP was, in my opinion, complacent.

Running a halfway decent campaign should get us back into power compared to what the Dems have right now.

A corrupt Machine that needs to be dismantled and sent out to scrap.

Well, I heard there are 170 deputy prosecutor's, do we need 170? Do they know how to prosecute?

hmmm even Bart's puppet Melina Kennedy says its only 150. She's now claiming she is only a manager, and that Brizzi isn't properly training the deputy prosecutors.

YOU THINK??? after the Dem controlled CCC cut the Prosecutor's budget in the first couple years of the Dem control of CCC. Talk about benefitting from your own incompetence.

FYI, the coroner's office has only 6 full time deputies, about 5 or 6 part-time irregular deputies and the rest of the staff is office/administrative. ALL of the problems stem from an incompetent coroner and his chief deputy, neither of whom belong in the office. People, please pay attention to who you elect, it does make a huge difference and should not be a simpy party line vote....The deputies who investigate are good people and don't deserve to have their professionalism denegrated by a coroner who may be the worst in the recent history of marion county

People should not simply vote along party lines but should seriously look at who they vote for as coroner.
