Tully's Take

Tully takes a look today on Melina Kennedy's soft stance on crime and gangs. If Kennedy had ever been in a courtroom, she would know that someone accused of a crime will do anything to avoid going to jail. They will find God, they will swear off drugs, they will apologize to the Court, but in the end, it is all just a game to avoid doing time.

There are a lot of good preventative and rehabilitative programs out there to help kids that find trouble early in their life. A slap on the wrist and a written statement that they will not be part of a gang will be about as effective as a stick in a sword fight.

Kennedy's lack of experience dealing with the bad guys is showing through with her weak ideas.

Hey, I've got an idea. Let's all post our favorite things Melina will be writing on a chalk board on November 8th. I'll start:

I will not run for offices I do not understand.

Just came from the Brizzi/Meliar debate at Congregation Beth-el Zedak. It was great. Carl did an excellent job in answering the question posed to him.
Melina.. WTF were you trying to say?? You agreed with Carl on almost 90% of everything, and what you did disagree with, you didn't make a lick of sense. Are you stoned or just stupid? You actually believe that MS13 doesn't do the things that Carl said they do? Why don't you go hang out in their neighborhood for a while and issue their "get out of jail free cards"
Every question that was asked was one that you both expected and prepared for. You didn't see them beforehand, but you expected them. Did you forget to review your notes? The only intelligent thing you said tonight was when you agreed or "concurred" with Carl.
I think that if anyone in the audience was undecided, Meliar made a very good case for them to vote for Carl.

I will use the death penalty when the case requires the death penalty be used!

How can Melina prosecute fairly when she apparently endorses an add claiming Brizzi is responsible for the murder of a family of 7? Perhaps if Melina is elected prosecutor, she'll see fit to charge Brizzi with those 7 murders. Scary woman! Perhaps she'll get a 100% Domestic violence conviction rate too, using the same lack of judicial knowledge, skills and abilities.

The debate was interesting. Kennedy
sharply looks at Brizzi and scolds him for only prosecuting two cases
in four years. The two (we won't count the ten score in his career)
are still more than what she did.
By the way..the big case Shell Oil
that she brages about had seven (7)
attorneys.

Melina,,Brizzi is only doing what
you suggest doing..showing leadership by obtaining high conviction rates through mentoring.
